Do you even need to ask who recorded this? Obviously, Kanye and Jay-Z!

It's obvious that chopping up a Maybach, poppin' bottles,puttin' supermodels in the cab, smokin' cubanos with Castro, and havin' two big faces Rollies isn't the average 9-5 working person's reality. But it is Yeezy and Hov's! An average person does not have NEARLY enough money to pull up in the the "other" Benz to avoid seeing people they don't wanna see that week, when last week they pulled up in the "other OTHER" Benz!! It is presented this way to purposely show the world and more importantly the "hip hop world" how ballin' they are!

This is hip hop; this video is what hip hop is! Who has the best cars, who has the best chains, whose girl is sexier, how much is your Rollie worth? No one in hip hop even comes close to Jay-Z on that tip (because, he is worth over 450 MILLION DOLLARS!) The video shows a sick car, pretty girls, and Jay-Z and Kanye swagged out. Everything is about ego, they flash their hats at the end to rep where they are from, and hold up the chains to show them off, even the camera angle (lower than them) makes them seem powerful and bigger!

As for values shown in this video, the main one is swag! To be cool like them and put super models in the cab like they do you need swag. Jay-Z even says it in the first line of the song, " I invented swag!" Another creed would be that everything seems easy to them all because they have money.

Does it appeal to teenagers? I would say it is made for teenagers and made to appeal to them! Jay-Z has a New Era snap back on which is a hat that a normal person could go buy so it's trying to show that they can relate to normal teenagers.

I would say that it is a good video personally, but it's all up to the viewer to decide if they like it or not, but i suggest you LOVE it or Yeezy might just have to murk ya!

I believe that media is VERY important in my life. I say this because media is a part of everything I do in my everyday life. I watch TV, I listen to the radio, I listen to my iPod, I use the computer, I see ads when imp on the bus to school. It’s EVERYWHERE!

The 2 most important media types to me are music and pictures/photography. I listen to music everyday and I'd go crazy without it so music is one of my favourite media forms. Pictures are also my other favourite type because I’m going to be a photographer and that makes pictures very important considering photos make the job.

Thoughts on modern pop culture? well, I love the way all the new technology lets me talk to my friends through; it makes it so easy to get a hold of someone, text them, if they don’t reply just see if they are on facebook, and if that doesn’t work everyone is always with someone else who has a phone.

But I can’t stand that our generations pop culture will probably be remembered more for making jokes out of everything no matter how serious it is and not really caring much about things that actually should matter. For example, you would think young adults should care about what’s going on in our world considering we have to live in for the rest of our lives, but the majority doesn’t. It’s all more about facebook, and what celebrity is in rehab or what the new fashions are. Not saying I don’t care about those things as well, but they don’t rule my life and they shouldn't.

I use media for everything; I love facebook for being able to talk to friends so easily, I love listening to music and regardless if I have music on or not I still hear music in my head all the time, I have shows that I watch religiously on TV but if I miss them I can just as easily watch them on the internet, and as I said imp planning on being a photographer so pictures are a real important type of media.

Music! That should sum it all up, the most important and influential media for me. I love music and I play piano but I listen to just about every type of music imaginable. It’s a necessity for me; if I’m sad a certain song can make me happy or if I’m in bad mood music can make it all better. It’s so important to me because music also sparks memories which can sometimes be sad, but most times it’s sort of like déjà vu. I can hear a song I really like and feel like I was back to where I was when I first heard it. I’ve had different music phases throughout my life, I only listened to mostly alternative music and then it was just older classic rock kind of stuff, and now it’s still some classic rock but lots of hip hop and rap. My iPods a pretty great mix. Eminem is always my favourite rapper, but my current favourites are kanye and jayz, but I’d have to say I like iron maiden and stuff like that. But the Beatles is probably what has shaped me the most. Even before I was born I swear I loved the Beatles because my mom would always be playing Beatles cds 24/7 or playing Beatles song on guitar, and my entire life she always played Beatles and it obviously became my all time favourite band real quickly.
